Associated Student Body
Welcome to the ASB website. This course combines classroom instruction with classroom leadership practices in a laboratory of practical school situations. It provides student leaders with the opportunity to explore basic concepts of democratic government, the meaning and techniques of leadership, parliamentary procedure, group dynamics and the objectives of education. Students will plan and organize assemblies, meetings, social and recreation activities, rallies, elections, community service projects and other events. Students will also develop real life skills, such as, effective speaking and writing techniques, improvements in courtesy, poise and appearance, how to work with peers of diverse backgrounds, sharing responsibilities with adults, and how to create budgets and financial statements. We hope that our hard work and dedication will make your journey at SRHS a memorable one.
